Art of Peace & Freedom
A contemporary painter whose canvases trace the intersection of memory, migration, and identity. Across his work runs one quiet revelation: home is not found in walls it lives in the people whose spirit we carry.
From the Black Sea to the North Sea. Painting the Journey of Home.
Some paintings ask to be looked at.
These ask to be reckoned with.
Not made for walls.
Made for people who have left something behind and never stopped carrying it.

Touch of Memories
Сontrast between emotion and form
Sukhumi: The Lost Coast
Born by the Black Sea, the early years were painted in vibrant, humid light the kind that soaks into a child and never fully leaves.
That coast is gone now. Unreachable. Not by distance... but by history.
Its light remains. Not in photographs.
In every canvas.

Some people spend their lives looking for the light they lost. Giorgi learned to paint with it.
Northern Light
Amsterdam. Bergen. A different kind of silence.
No humidity. No chaos. No Black Sea at the door.
Just light cool, honest, unforgiving.
The North didn't replace what was lost.
It clarified it. The way cold water clarifies the mind.
Two worlds now live inside every painting
the warmth he was born into,
and the silence that taught him to listen.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
The Hand Behind the Work: Giorgi Shengelia
Expressionist painter. European stages. One recurring question in every canvas: where do we truly belong?
EXHIBITIONS
On the Wall Across Europe
Giorgi Shengelia is an internationally exhibited expressionist painter whose original oil paintings have been shown in galleries across Europe. His large-format abstract expressionist works have attracted collectors, curators, and art institutions from the Netherlands to Germany, Norway, Belgium and beyond. His paintings rooted in themes of memory, migration, identity, and the search for belonging resonate with collectors who seek original contemporary art with emotional depth and artistic integrity. Every exhibition is a singular event. The work shown is original. The availability is limited. The collectors who have found his paintings rarely let them go.

Weimar, 10/04/2026-31/05/2026
Currently on view at Galerie Schwarzburger in Weimar one of Germany's most respected gallery spaces. The exhibition "From Different Perspective" brings together original expressionist works by Giorgi Shengelia, exploring how memory, displacement, and freedom reshape the way we see the world around us.

Arnstadt, 28-29/03/2026
An intimate exhibition in the heart of Germany where Giorgi Shengelia's original expressionist works met collectors and visitors face to face.
Two days. One artist. Original paintings on the wall.

Schoorl, 22/03/2026
"Macondo" named after the mythical town from García Márquez's imagination. A place that exists in memory more than on any map. Shown at Galerie Klein Zwitserland in Schoorl a gallery nestled in the dunes of the North Holland coast, where the sea is never far away.
The title says everything about how Giorgi sees his own story.
Every Painting Leaves the Studio Once
Original works by Giorgi Shengelia are held in private collections across Europe. If something here stays with you a painting, a colour, a feeling you cannot quite name that is worth a conversation.
